Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy delivers the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Service Basic Course for Police Officers plus supplemental curricula.

The Basic Course runs approximately 21 weeks and is held twice a year.  While the course is primarily for recruits who are employed and sworn, we also accommodate Pre-Employments, Basic Course Refreshers, Basic Course Equivalencies, Phase Twos and Phase Two plus Refreshers.
